Format of the EANS Advanced Spine course:

It is now a two-part course. Part I, 'extended indications and advanced operative techniques', is taking place in October 2017 and Part II,  'complications and management', is planned again for 2018.

The course employs various teaching methods including plenary lectures, interactive case discussion and round tables, and cadaver hands-on workshops.

Target audience: Recently qualified neurosurgeons and neurosurgeons specialised in spinal neurosurgery as well as orthopaedic surgeons interested in spinal procedures; last year residents are also welcome to attend.

 

This is a unique international course giving participants the opportunity for informal debate with their peers as well as with the teaching faculty who are internationally recognized speakers from various European countries.
