EANS Observerships & Awards
The EANS offers various observership or fellowship opportunities and awards each year.
**NEW!** EANS Training Course Bursaries
Five bursaries will be available in 2017. These will cover the total fee of the course, that is to say, tuition, accommodation and subsistence; they will NOT cover travel expenses. Recipients will be guaranteed bursaries for all subsequent years until they have completed the full four-course EANS training cycle.
To apply, please prepare the following documents:
- completed application form – download the form HERE
- a short recommendation/reference from your department head or another academic referee
- a letter of motivation (one page A4 max).
and email them to Visi Navarro with "TC Bursary Application" in the subject line. The deadline for applications is 8 April 2017.
The bursaries will be awarded according to the following criteria:
- academic / scientfic merit
- financial need

There are currently no applications for funded observership opened, but more will be coming later in the year, so follow our website and social media for any news. In the meantime, you might be interested in the short-term observerships - see below.
The International Relations Committee approached neurosurgical units in EANS member countries requesting the possibility to host observers from foreign countries. The response was very good and the list of the centres who indicated they would be willing to host short-term observers can be found by clicking HERE.
If you are interested in an observership, please contact the host unit directly. Funding is the responsibility of the applicant.
