The EANS employs a team of professional staff, who are responsible for the day to day running of the organisation. Whilst some members of our team are directly employed by the EANS, others are self-employed and provide their services on a consultancy basis.


Petra KoubovaThe Administration Manager, Petra Koubova (CZ) is responsible for the day to day administration of the EANS, including liaison with the EANS Board and the EANS member societies, compliance and accreditation issues and maintenance and further development of the EANS database. She is also responsible for preparation of the EANS Congress and liaison with the PCO., co-ordinating the HandsOn and CME educational courses and events as well as for organization of the European Board Examination in Neurological Surgery Part II and administration of all EANS Observerships and Awards.

Amy Pinchbeck-Smith The Marketing & Media Designer, Amy Pinchbeck-Smith (UK) is responsible for the general design of all EANS materials, including flyers, adverts, websites and all other EANS marketing and promotional materials as well as for writing copy for the EANS. Working alongside the Executive Director and Petra she helps to devise and implement our communications and marketing strategy.

The Membership Secretary, Lucinda Foster (UK) is responsible for liaison with EANS individual members as well as for a number of other administrative functions, primarily the efficient maintenance of our database. She also provides administrative support to the EANS sub-specialist Sections, their activities and further development of these.

The Events Co-ordinator, Visi Navarro (ES) is responsible for organisation and preparation of the three cycles of the European Neurosurgical Training Courses and is the key point of liaison between the EANS Training Committee and the Office Team. She is also responsible for co-ordination of the European Board Examination in Neurological Surgery Part I and is involved in the organisation of other EANS educational courses and meetings as well.

The Financial Administrator, Beata Vasiliakova (CZ) is responsible for the financials of the EANS, including issuing invoices to sponsors, national societies and participants on the EANS events (excluding the EANS congress). She is also responsible for VAT related issues, refund requests and purchase invoice payments. Working closely with the EANS Treasurer she helps to prepare the EANS financial reports.
